Megan Driscoll was born and raised in the Philadelphia area and received her BFA from Tyler School of Art. She then went on to receive her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing and is currently a nurse on a bone marrow transplant unit Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.
A self proclaimed "pattern painter" Megan creates landscapes and scenes with drawn and painted patterns. Sometimes she just fills canvases or blank sheets of paper with rhythmic pattern. Like knitting, it has a therapeutic trance-like quality in its creation. Interested in the healing qualities of art, she is exploring ways to bring therapeutic art making to the hospital setting and share the unique emotional experience that art can evoke.
