Lee Davis is a cartoonist, painter, and teacher who lives in West Philadelphia. She graduated from Oberlin College in 2005 with a BA in American Studies, and what little formal art training she has comes from community art schools like The Fleisher Memorial. The monsters she creates are an attempt at personal mythology and exorcism, and her work is autobiographical at the point where earnestness meets sarcasm and horror meets humor.
