Although she doesn’t always like to admit it, Elizabeth Gonsiorowski is a lawyer. After taking classes about robots and fairy tales and writing an incredibly nerdy thesis on the structure of the internet, she graduated with a degree from Vassar College that she couldn’t really do anything with except go to more school. So, she went to law school and became obsessed with digital intellectual property issues and the Frankenstein-esque state of copyright law. She is a fan of fair use and often questions the extent to which artists can and should use other work to convey their message.
